Course Change Process
Can I change my schedule?
Yes, you can ...
- If you are missing a graduation credit requirement.
- If there is a blank spot on your schedule.
- If you are not in the right placement (AP/honors).
- If you already took that course.
Course changes not allowed include:
- Teacher changes.
- Lunch time changes or to be with friends.
- Change of elective (based on availability).
- You don't want the course.
Other circumstances:
- If you are requesting to change an elective that you are currently signed up for, or if there is a hole in your schedule and you need to add a class, please complete a Course Change Request. You will receive an email when your counselor determines if the schedule change can be made.
- If you are requesting to change a core class, world language class or band, please print and return the Course change form with the appropriate signatures included. Again, you will receive an email when your counselor determines if the schedule change can be made.
CO-OP Program
Students interested in enrolling in the CO-OP program for semester 1 and semester 2 should return all completed paperwork to the Counseling office no later than two weeks from the first day of school in August.
Students interested in enrolling in semester two only should return all completed forms to the Counseling office no later than one week prior to start of semester two.
Credit Recovery
Credit Recovery is designed to help students make up credits while also gaining the knowledge that they may have missed in the regular classroom setting. The Odysseyware lesson design fosters ongoing collaboration between learners and teachers, enabling students to progress and practice at their own pace and receive support and guided instruction as needed. Space is limited. Please turn in this form along with the fee as soon as possible. See your counselor if you’re unsure which class(es) you need.
Financial Aid/Loans and Grants
The counselors will be working with seniors starting at the end of September to begin the financial aid process. We are only starting the process NOT APPLYING FOR AID. Students who wish to apply for aid can do so at a later date. Fowlerville High School is offering many opportunities to support parents/guardians/students in the application process.
It is important to note this process must be completed if a student plans to go to a 2/4 year college/university, trade school, etc. at anytime in their life and would like to be considered for financial aid. Even though you may not think financial aid is necessary for their immediate future, it is great to begin the process now with support, so it will be completed if they ever need it later in life.
Financial Aid Timeline & Checklist
Financial Aid can be a daunting task, and we understand. Fowlerville High School wants to make this process as easy to navigate as possible. Below please find a link to numerous virtual events held through Oakland University. Events start September 20 at 6:00 p.m. If the link leads to an error, the event may be full. Please try another time.

Personal Curriculum (PC)
A Personal Curriculum (PC) modifies certain requirements of the Michigan Merit Curriculum (MMC) which must be met for the awarding of a Fowlerville High School diploma. For students without disabilities, modification of credit requirements is limited to a specific set of options set forth in the law. For students with disabilities who have IEPs, other modifications of credit requirements may be sought. Please note that the intent of the PC is to allow some flexibility in the MMC while holding all students accountable to as many of the content standards as practicable.
