FAQs
What is a Program?
Our program is the core time that our lead caregivers are implementing our Creative Curriculum activities, helping children to develop life skills as well as pre-academic skills.
What will I see in the classroom?
The classrooms in all of our age groups will be utilizing the Creative Curriculum Program.
You will see specific areas in the room designed to address the four areas of development; Cognitive, Language, Physical, and Social/ Emotional. These areas will also address all of the six content areas of learning; Literacy, Mathematics, Social Studies, Science and Technology, as well as the Arts.
If children are learning and developing skills during the program time what are they doing before the program starts and after it ends?
Our Before and After Program Sessions are designed to provide open discovery in a developmentally appropriate and safe environment. Children will have the opportunity to interact with other children in the same age range.
What if my schedule changes?
You may request a schedule change. However, a change in your permanent schedule is dependent upon availability. There is a fee for the permanent schedule change that reduces your child's schedule, but it is a one-time fee for each change.
What type of meal program does the center offer?
We offer a breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack which is included in your daily rate.
Our center participates in The Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) which provides nutritious meals and snacks. CACFP plays a vital role in improving the quality of child care.
Little Glad Enrollment
Adding your family to our Little Glad Family is important and we want to make sure your child’s needs are met and that this program is a good fit for your family. Please call 517-223-6480, and we can assist you through the enrollment process.
Children are eligible for enrollment, on a part-time and full-time basis.
Once all of the required paperwork is completed and received by the office, all preschool-aged children will be provided with a visit to the classroom before their first day in attendance. This will provide parents an opportunity to meet the teacher and for children to have a frame of reference when they come back for their first day of school.

The Learning Environment
The physical space of the classroom is organized into nine indoor interest areas:
- Blocks
- Dramatic Play
- Toys and Games
- Art, Library
- Discovery
- Sand and Water
- Music and Movement
- Cooking
The nine indoor interest areas plus the outdoor space provides multiple opportunities for children to learn and apply their skills through play, exploration, and discovery.
It also helps establish and create a classroom community that promotes positive relationships and where children make friends and learn social problem-solving skills.

- Literacy
- Mathematics

Most importantly, Creative Curriculum® explains how to teach these subject areas in ways that respect how children develop and learn.
